Our company is getting into water filtration pretty heavily. This is something I've never dealt with. I am not the one who will be selling, installing, maintaining or managing this department. But we are a team and it is a team effort to make sure we service the customer 100 percent and make sure safety is priority. The filtration systems I've seen in customers houses I never looked at the entire layout. My question is, does a water softner or filtration system that regenerates and is put on the main supply after the meter create a closed loop system? If so then I will need to ensure our crew puts a thermal expansion on as well. I tried Google and one site says it does need to be added where other sites say no. I really would appreciate any insight to this matter. I can call the manufacturer and find out but figured maybe someone here already has experience with this.
