Water recirculation setup

Hello. I just had a water recirculation pump installed but I'm not sure it's correct. The end point takes about 2 minutes to get hot water so the pump was installed to fix that. It's still taking a while to get hot water so I'm not sure it's correct. Can you see any big issues with this? Thank you

1. There must be a hose bibb at the bottom of the tank to allow draining so FAIL there.
2. For a pump to do anything there needs to be a dedicated return line or
3. a bridge ("Grundfos bridge") at the far fixture and in that case the entire job is a failure anyway.
4. we always put isolation and bleed tees on both sides of the pump

no professional trained in plumbing did that and they should be schooled before going out into the field.

What a mess! The pictures seem to indicate that this installation is taking suction from the bottom of the water heater and pumping it into the cold-water inlet of the water heater. Is that what I'm seeing????

Hahaha, I didn't even notice that until you mentioned it....I must say it is doing a fine job circulating the water heater....

Anybody have a diagram of what it should look like faucet to the water tank?

Here is mine. Obviously missing is the "doohickey" which allows the hot water to be pushed back into the cold water line, which is located under the sink of my farthest bathroom away from the water heater.

The circ pump needs to be pulling water from the fixture that is taking too long, Install the Tee there from that fixture, and have it return to the inlet of the tank. You will also need to put a check valve on the cold so that you don't back feed the cold line. Right now the circ pump is setup incorrectly.
