Hey guys hopefully have an easy one for you. The shut off valve underneath my sink is leaking and I want to replace it. I want to know if this is a proper installation before I try to replace with the same setup. I didn't know you could use metal compression on CPVC. If you can't tell, it's actually leaking from the top nut.

The valve is about 7 years old. Some of the other stuff in the house was done incorrectly so that's why I'm concerned this is an incorrect installation. Seems soon to be leaking to me. If it is correct, and I can simply swap it out for a new one, have any tips for me? Thanks in advance.

I haven't taken it apart yet actually. It's not at my house but I'm there now.
