Hi

I have one of these and was hoping to adjust the flow
Not sure how it works, but the top bit has a screwdriver slot which you cant turn much (even if you undo the nut below it)

And when the nut is loosened, water drips out of it

Was hoping to open it to the max setting - the make is FAR

Any ideas

Thanks2024-12-13 14.23.29.jpg

Any Takers ?!

I think it is a flow restrictor for each of the 4 underfloor heating pipes

Just wondered how to adjust it without causing a leek

This is a manifold I haven’t seen before. But my guess is it will behave like many other similar units. That top brass piece has a slot for a flat blade screwdriver. Tighten down to restrict or throttle back the flow, loosen to increase.

To test, tighten one zone all the way down—it should basically shut that zone off, which should be an easy thing to check with an infrared thermometer.

I used a similar stainless steel manifold for a de-icing system. I removed it because in de-icing, you want full-flow at all times. Even on an adjustable one fully open, too much flow restriction.
