I am a novice plumber working on my own house. There is a 3/4" pipe running under the floor. Then 1/2" pipes running up to the shower. I want to put two shower heads with separate controls on each end of the shower. Do I have to tap into the 3/4" pipe? (which is 5 times the work) Or, will it work to split off the 1/2" and run the pipes to the other end of the shower? Help!... before I screw something up.

I am not clear on whether each end of the shower will have two heads for a grand total of 4, or just one on each end, total 2.

I personally would want to run 3/4" for two shower valves, but you will probably be fine with the 1/2". Some of the multi head valves that will control different showerheads, bodysprays, etc, are only fed with 1/2".
