Hi, all.
I am in Texas and am in process of renovating a master bath. We are putting on a freestanding tub in place of the old so I need to move the drain. I wanted to check with you all to see of I'm planning this right. The picture I've attached shows what I want to do. Imagine you are looking from above more or less.
The drain will come from the trap and join horizontally to the horizontal drain line. The vent is opposite the direction of flow and will turn vertical after 6 inches or so of horizontal drain line. Does that make sense? Is it okay to have the vent in the opposite direction of the drain flow?
Thanks, all!
Dan
