I want to replace shutoff valves with quarter turn valves. I've run into two issues.

1. I can't find dual outlet shutoff valves that are quarter turn. Ideally, I would like the outlets to be at 90 degrees of each other (not 180 degrees).

2. All the dual outlet shutoff valves that I've found (which aren't quarter turn, so I don't want them anyways) have Prop 65 cancer warnings. They don't indicate which part of the valves have the toxic materials, or what the toxic materials are, so that seems like a risk worth avoiding. If it's simply the underside of the handle that never comes in contact with the water or a child, that's one thing, but the manufacturers don't make it clear.

The input is 1/2" and the outputs are 3/8". Compression fittings are used.

Can anyone recommend some quarter turn dual outlet shutoff valves that don't have a Prop 65 warning that meet the above specs?

Everything will have prop 65 warnings whether needed or not, even if not sold in Cali. We see them here in Washington. I don't know of anything that doesn't have the warning.

Brass is the culprit. Prop 65 label include components made with brass, which contains small but detectable amounts of lead. Also Chromium (hexavalent compounds) used in plating finishes.

I think it’s just easier for manufacturers to put this label on everything. The labeling is probably cheaper than testing certainly cheaper than constantly monitoring overseas sources. Just say everything causes cancer and you’re good to go.

It’s like food sources. Have you noticed that every item of food that you can buy is made in a factory that uses peanuts or tree nuts? Covers all the allergy bases.

Makes we wonder if we haven’t created generations of people with food allergies because we have become so cautious. I am sure there must have been allergies back in th 40’s and 50’s but I certainly don’t remember them.
