Tub drain question

I am remodeling my bathroom that is on a concrete slab. I used to have a washer and dryer in the bathroom but I moved it to garage. I am wanting to put a new tub in close to where the washer used to be. My question is, can I drain my new tub to the old washing machine drain? And if so, do I just need to put a p-trap in under the tub and then just slope it down to it? It will be about 3 feet away. Thanks for any help

That can work but the tub needs to be vented. You may be able to use the washer vent but I would need to see a picture of what you have to be able to determine if you can.
