Hello -
I have a Toto Dalton toilet I've been asked to repair by a relative. The gasket at the bottom of the flush valve is leaking, and I’ve concluded this because the flapper was just replaced and the problem has persisted, so therefore it must be the flush valve itself.
However, before I purchase a new complete repair kit to upgrade/replace everything, I was wondering if anyone had experience with these Toto models concerning the tank-to-bowl gasket. I know some toilet models (such as Gerber) are picky about the tank-to-bowl gasket that they need to be thick and/or the OEM part should be used. I wasn’t sure if these older Toto models fell into this category. I've always had luck using universal Fluidmaster kits with my American Standards, but it has been a while since I attempted a fix on a Toto.
Thanks for any insights!
