Toilet Question: I purchased two bay toilets earlier this year. I left for a 3 week vacation so I shut off the water to the house because I was told to do that when leaving for a long time. When I came back one of the Glacier Bay toilets was working normally along with an American Standard I have in the master suite. The other Glacier Bay is in a spare bathroom that is not usually used but when used approximately a week after turning on the water, the toilet started making a static type noise only when refilling. Then the following day the Glacier Bay toilet started making the same noise. I find it weird that both toilets started making this noise. I attached a video so you can hear the noise. Any insight is greatly appreciated

I'm trying to get the video to load but I wonder if it's possible that some sediment got in to the fill line/valve of the toilets. You might want to take apart the fill valve assembly and clean it.
There is a cap and then a tube, in the tube is a piece of plastic with notches on it. Sometimes it gets gunked up. It's possible stuff settled and condensed a bit when the water was off.

I had a similar problem when my power/water was out for awhile. Lines got gunked up. I have some photos to illustrate:

I could be completely wrong on this though.

Sounds like noise caused by turbulence. If you try and shut down the flow of water somewhat with the shut-off valve, does the noise mitigate or go away? You can make the adjustment in mid-fill to get an idea. Two of my el cheapo toilets make the same sound and I guess I've learned to live with it. My one expensive toilet, a Toto, doesn't.

I love Toto toilets. I've heard Glacier Bay is a bit on the garbage side. But if it works and flushes well then it should be ok.

If I was hung over as heck and sick as a dog from having too much of a good time and too much chewing tobacco, I'd prefer that it was a Toto that was the porcelain "god" that I was "worshipping" over just about any other brand of toilet.

So when I tried that with the upstairs toilet (changing the water pressure) the noise did go away at first but now it won’t. I do think it’s odd that it’s the cheaper toilets and then the timing with turning the water off for a couple of weeks.

I think cleaning the fill valve first might help to see if it clears up the problem. But, a replacement might help. GB is such a garbage toilet that the default fill valve is probably not that great.
