Good morning,
I purchased this toilet flange from my local plumbing supply. Now I'm thinking of exchanging it for a metal adjustable ring flange because it's stronger. Your advice please.
The flange is being installed above a porcelain tile floor. The female fitting at the bottom of the flange, is about 4". I'm using 3" pipe. I was going to make the hole in the subfloor, and tile 4 1/4". Does that make sense?
Another plumber recommended using the regular pvc cement and clear cleaner as opposed to the strong cement, and the purple primer. He said these are sufficient and will permit you to remove flange if you had to without damaging the sewer pipe. Is his recommendation a good one?
Thanks,
