I'm among the millions of folks impacted by the "big chill" in Texas and could use some help. I have a tankless Navien 240. One of the fittings broke during the freeze, it's leaking water and is the reason I'm getting error code E438 (I believe) and, more importantly, the reason we haven't had hot water in 5 days. I've already turned off the gas and water. Since I can't get anybody scheduled to help for at least a week, I took the liberty of removing the single broken piece (pictured).
I'd like to know if 1. this piece is specific to navien or something I could pickup at a plumbing repair store and 2. assuming I find the piece can I replace it and reboot the unit, or will there be some kind of pressurization issue that needs to be addressed by a professional first?
THANK YOU!
