Sulfur Smell Fridge Water Dispenser

Have a new fridge. It has a brand new water filter. Ice smells and tastes fine. Water, however, smells of sulfur. The dispenser is inside the fridge on the left side. If I dispense a gallon or so, smell goes away, but who wants to do that every time you want nice cold water. Sucks. Water supply line is braided, not copper. All plumbing is PEX, installed 5 months ago. Water in taps is fine. I think something is either happening in the water reservoir or there's some sort of chemical reaction in the supply line because our water is so hard - I really have no idea. I dispensed some water and froze it - still smelled. Any ideas???? Thanks....

my last water filter had a funky taste, a ran about a gallon thru it and it stopped

when you hooked up the ice maker water line did you purge the line first.
