Any ideas?
I have three rooms upstairs with old steam radiators. In one room, the radiator gets very hot and warms the room. In the other two, the radiators were not getting hot at all, and didn't seem to be working.
I replaced the vents on the two that were not working with basic adjustable vents. If I play with them, I can get a small amount of heat from the two other radiators, but nowhere near as much as from the first one.
If I take the vent off completely, the radiators become very hot immediately.
Any ideas?

What type vents are you using? There are two types vacuum and non-vacuum. The vacuum are the preferred vents for one pipe steam. Also it sometimes helps to shim the legs on the opposite of the radiator that the steam line is connected to. Most times 1/4" will do.
