I'll typically route a stack down a corridor wall in a hotel or apartment building. But I have steel in the way now and cannot do that, so I'm routing down in a closet wall. Does anyone have any experience with this type of install? It's a 3" PVC soil stack in a 3-5/8 stud wall. Will that fit? Is that common? Also, do I need to worry about tenants drilling holes in the wall and into the pipe?

Thanks!

cast iron is all we use for drains above the first floor. always happy with the results.
