The copper pipe behind my spigot has a hairline crack in it and is spewing water when I turn on the faucet. When the spigot/faucet is off, no water leaks out.

I went to lowes and it looks like most spigots are just screw on. The problem I have is my house is on a slab foundation and therefore has no crawl space. The spigot enters my house inside a wall between my garage and staircase so I cannot see the other end of the spigot. I can pull the spigot out a little, but I am hesitant to pull it out too far and do more damage.

my question is this: is there any possible way to see the other end of the spigot?

also, can I just assume its twist off and just try to twist it off?

sounds like its a frost proof hose bib. in that case, you should be able to unscrew it,,and replace

here is what one looks like. if thats it,,or close to it..your good to go

google..frost proof hose bib...click image, and see if you see something that looks like yours

or post a picture

yeah, I mean that pic looks correct, but the problem is I cannot see the other end... The cutoff point is ddefinitely after the crack because when I shut the water off, it does not leak. The part in the picture that is in the wall is the part I cannot see and I cannot grab it or anything to even try and twist. Since the pipe came out of the wall so easily, it seems like the other end is just loose.
