Hi folks,

Had a bit of a mishap the other day and am looking for advice regarding my broken kitchen faucet. I'd like to know if the break is something I can fix myself with a few bits and bobs from Ace or a plumbing store, or if I'll need to get a professional in. If I do need to call a plumber in to fix the problem, any estimates on what I'd be looking at paying would be most appreciated.

If I turn the faucet to the cold side, cold water shoots out the bottom where the one copper pipe has come away; when I turn the faucet to the hot side, however, no water is omitted at all.

I've attached some pictures of the break to help illustrate the problem more clearly.

Thanks in advance!

I'm afraid it is trashed. You'd be better off going to the local big box store and picking up a complete replacement and installing it.
