We had a loose faucet for some months, I finally tightened the nut underneath the sink but then I noticed the handle was turned slightly to the right and not aligned with the faucet. I ended up taking it apart. The cartridge came out easily and whatever that is called that holds the cartridge has its alignment off. It's made of plastic and I have no clue how to move this thing back into place. I also loosened the nut under the sink to pull the faucet upwards, there is about a half inch of this plastic sticking out. I tried hand twisting and it wont budge. Am I just stuck with the handle being off by 20 degrees? Thanks for any input

I thought pics would be helpful.... but alas I figured it out. I took a closer look with a flashlight and could see that the plastic piece where the cartridge rests, was capped onto the threaded brass. I had no clue the thread brass went up that far. I ended up shooting wd 40 down the brass thread and used a wrench to twist the threads sticking out at the bottom. It was really tough but it finally moved. Now everything is good and back where it needs to be. My plumbing experience has doubled now. LOL. Atleast I found a site for any future problems I might have. Thanks!
