I'm trying to check the condition of my combo (secondary) anode.
I disconnected the hot water supply and loosened the nipple where the anode is attached too. But I couldn't pull the rod/nipple out of top of the tank. It is like something is holding it or there's a gasket I have to pull it by.
Does anyone have any insight on why I can't get the anode rod out?
