Hello to everyone at plumbing forums.
I recently purchased a "Salamander RSP 100 Twin Shower Pump 3.0 Bar" which a plumber installed for me in my first floor hot press next to the hot water tank. The system is gravity fed and the pump is intended to feed two showers. I've attached a diagram of the basic set up.
After installation of the pump the increase to the cold water seems good but the hot water is struggling. The water has bubbles and spits (no consistent flow) and after a minute will dribble down to nothing then the pump shuts off.
The plumber who installed it recommended I get a replacement pump, he said the existing valves leading to the tank upstairs are fully on and functioning correctly.
I'm wondering if there's anything else I can check with the current set up before buying a new pump? I am limited in my plumbing knowledge and apologise for this in advance but I'm eager to learn. I have also attached some photos of the pump and the connections as the plumber left them.
Any insight is really appreciated. Thanks to all!
