I've removed my backflow preventer because of a cracked bolt that was supporting it. Nothing appears to be wrong with the backflow preventer, but I can't remove the bolt from the copper piping. I've tried using a wrench and vice grips to no avail.

Attached are pictures of the 1) connector/ bolt, 2) bolt slid back onto the piping (after removing the washer - you can see the crack in the bolt), and 3) the connecting piece I'm trying to remove from the piping. The fourth picture is the connector/ bolt that connected to the other side of the backflow preventer

It appear that the piece I'm trying to remove is threaded onto the piping, but it has nothing to grip on to to remove it...

Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
