the tank is ~$1400. What kind of ball park $ should I expect to pay. The piping is the same. The egress isn't pefect,
1 flight down concrete basement stairs. Work space is adequate, not tight.
Should I expect $2500 or $4000?
And if this is not an acceptable post for here, I apologize.

Ah, the Platinum service.
Prices are very regional, even local.

You can go an hour north of me and the labor rate is $50 cheaper per hour for plumbing.

So really it’s just a guess because I have no idea where the OP lives.

But I believe it’ll be closer to 4k than $25 hundy unless he lives in a rural area.

Not being a professional so please correct me if I am wrong, but there is probably more than just the cost of labor rolled into that installation costs. Liability insurance, disposal of the old stuff, etc., maybe some warranty stuff, etc.

Very populous and expensive LI NY. Waiting on a couple estimates now.
The 1st was $38 and I'd bet the rest will be close as when I priced HVAC splits last year, I was very surprised how close they were.
Oh well, gonna have to get the turtles to find a job, since they use a lot of hw.

spouse would be unhappy about that.
2 more prices. $2600 and $4500.
weeee oh

in the mean time, while I'm waiting to get a couple more estimates.
Can I just shut off the incoming cold water so the leaking stops?
Unitl we need to take a weekly shower.
Or do I need to shut the whole sytem down electrically as well?
Its' all on one switch and, of course, there is a low voltage (24v I'd guess) connect to the boiler that has no in line switch.
