You can buy a Roto-zip bit and just chuck it into your drill, and cut the fiberglass with that.
You will feel it bumping up against anything you don’t want to cut.
You can set it to barely stick out of the drill.
Or borrow a Roto-zip or Dremel type tool from someone, but any drill will do in a pinch.
No need for fancy accuracy, just draw a decent circle with a Sharpie, or trace around something like a cup or small bowl.
Stay well inside the trim plate dimensions, you want to leave a firm surface for the foam seal behind the trim plate to rest securely on.
