Can an experienced plumber/handyman please help me disconnect an uncommon under the sink fixture connection.

Attatched is a picture showing the specific "hand knob"

We have tried basin wrenches, to no avail. Also Adjustable wrenches do not work.

I am inexperienced and only a plumbing designer, no plumber.

Me and a coworker are about to go try and chisel out the fixture..might be a bad idea I would like some feedback from the community.

It's not uncommon. It's actually very common. Basin wrench should work. Maybe spray some wd40 and let it sit a minute. If not use a mini hacksaw to cut those plastic retaining nuts.

You can make a basin wrench to fit out of PVC and a screw driver. But this is time consuming and I would only do this if the basin wrench absolutely would not work.

Basin wrench did not work, but a screwdriver and soft headed hammer did the trick.

Thanks for your input. This went easier than expected.
