Time to replace my 14 year old electric water heater. I am looking for brand recommendations. In my area (Morgantown, WV), the following brands are available from local suppliers:
AO Smith, Emax, Noritz, GE, Whirlpool, American Water Heater, Rheem, Bradford White

My #1 priority is reliability.

Which brand would you recommend and why?

I prefer AO Smith myself. I've installed handfuls of them with no issues at all. I've saw some Bradford whites fail before warranty was up on a few occasions. Rheem is good, I've installed one at my mom's and it's still running well after a few years. I'd stay away from GE, they're junk up here at least, the ol home Depot special.

Rheem and Kenmore are good budget solutions. However if you're searching for something better I would also advise AO.
