Have an old stainless sink and faucet I am looking at setting up for an outdoor sink near the BBQ.

But cannot seen to find information on how to properly install the faucet into the backing plate on the sink.

The sink has a high back with two holes for the faucet which line up perfectly.

The faucet is a FIAT 830AA(I think, as it looks bang on but could be larger/smaller)

Now the faucet does not have any nut to go onto the outside thread of the pipe that passes through the stainless sheet to fix the faucet in place.

These couplings are on the faucet with the flat portion on top sitting flush with the sink back and the threads protruding through.

But the plumbing supply store I went to cannot match any kind of nut to go onto those threads.

Is there a specific method of mounting this that is different then what I am thinking that I just need a nut?

Any information would be appreciated

Stop using that "plumbing supply store". According to the diagram you linked the faucet takes standard 1/2" ips faucet mounting nuts. Any store that sells plumbing supplies, even a corner hardware store should stock the nuts you need. The clerk you spoke to did not have a clue about plumbing parts.

Was at two places and got the same response.

Looking at the faucet it looks exactly like the one I posted but the coupling/threads out the back are a different size then what is posted in the spec sheet

I measured 1.118" OD and 0.716" ID with threads, and one of the couplings has 1 1/8 x 18 written on it.

I can try another place on the way home from work.

Would this normally be held in place with a nut to the panel(Which seems the best way to me)? Or does it use the ID threads in some way? As the FIAT taps I have come across do not appear to supply this nut with the tap.

So, you posted a diagram of a Chevy when you want parts for your Toyota. The diagram was worse than worthless then, it indicated the wrong size nuts. Why did you post the wrong diagram when you had a technical question that could only be answered on this forum by reading an accurate diagram?

Sorry, at the time I did not realize the size was different.

Regardless the nut seems to be non existent in new and used versions of this tap. It seems the one I have is exactly the same with a different/larger fitting off the back.

I am still curious how this would be installed in a commercial use as there is not enough thread to go through anything other then a thin metal plate with a 1/4" thick nut.

Nuts were turned on a lathe out of some aluminum stock and currently work as every place I went did not have that size.

The Fiat product specsheet you posted shows inches and millimeters/metric. The blue colored numbers in parentheses are millimeters/metric. You must have a fixture with millimeters/metric fittings. You can install the faucet with a brass 90 deg female IPS/COMPRESSION elbow, You just have to find one in millimeters/metric or contact the manufacturer and ask for fitting with inches. Here's a photo of the fitting in inches 1/2 x 3/8
