Hi All,
I have a 64,000btu natural gas one pipe steam system the house is 2 floors total sq/ft is under 2,000 there is also a ground level (basement apartment) which has heat connected to the same boiler but its a water heating system with a circulating pump attached to this furnace.
Just recently I converted my second floor to all electric heating and I removed all the radiators from the second floor, I been doing research and some indicates that I may have an issue in the winter because my furnace now is too big. I do have a Nest thermostat connected which should help with minimizing when the furnace turns on but is there anything else that I can do to make sure that I won't have issues this coming winter. I think the steam pressure now is set to 1.5 so I plan on lowering it as much as possible perhaps .5. Any thoughts anything else that could be done from my end.
Thanks,
Adam
