What if...
This past 7-degree weather taught me a hard lesson.
An outside Rinnai 199e froze. The condition expanded the brass rings around various connecting pipes in the machine.
Removed them and straighten them out while replacing these rubber gaskets worked.
But, the recirc pump seems to be stuck. There's power to it, when energized, there's a click sound and then nothing. The recirculation counter in the app doesn't proceed with the countdown either.

So, on with the reason for my rant.
I want this outdoor unit and its PEX supply, return, and recirc lines to be protected from freezing during winter.
I thought about the crawl space area which is vast and about 20 degrees warmer than the outside. My only worry is the venting of the exhaust gases. Can't I fabricate a venting system that would permeate the brick wall to the outside? Thus, allowing all exhaust away from the building. Everything else is basic. Thoughts?

Sorry, there is no safe way to convert to indoor. Pump may have fatal damage. Pull and break down if you have time to waste.
