hi all -

i am attempting my first DIY faucet replacement and could use a little advice. please pardon my lack of appropriate vernacular. i have an old faucet with some stubborn nuts and connections. but, i was able to loosen the nuts on the bottom and top of the supply line but the pipe was still very stiff in place. how do i remove that? also, do i need to break down the entire "T" apparatus under the spout, piece by piece? lastly, as i loosened one of the nuts holding the faucet in place, the fixture was moving around a lot and i didnt want to damage the marble - how best to hold that in place?

basically, i am looking for any advice on the order of operations here. the videos i've watched show most old faucets being lifted out from the top, but with all the hard piping here, am I still going to do that?

many thanks!
