Old lady here trying to do her own DIY repair. So I need it to be as simple as possible! I need to replace a toilet flange. Apparently the old one rusted out. I see the Set-Rite extension kits, but they install then over the existing flange. I have a ABS drain - inside diameter is 3 3/4", outside diameter is 4 1/4". It is in a concrete slab floor. and tile has been installed. I'm seeing different posts about new flanges being level with floor and some that say above the floor. The concrete floor around the drain is pretty uneven. I would prefer to install one on the inside of ABS drain if possible. I'm just not sure what I need to do with the uneven concrete all around the drain before I even try to install the flange. Here are some pictures.
