Hey guys,

I have an oil fired boiler with a 250 gallon tank above ground - oil line fed from the bottom.
Recently some oil company filled my tank without my permission.
They said they can come pump it out - but I am hesitant on allowing them to do it
in fear of my tank being damaged.
What can happen if they do this? Will the sludge on the bottom get disturbed?
Will it clog my filter and feed line?
Thanks.

John

It shouldn't do any damage or disturb the sludge. I'm sure they will not be emptying the entire contents of the tank. Why not make them a offer on the fuel? It could be a good deal for you. It's going to cost them labor and truck expenses to pump it so the may be willing to give you the fuel at a discounted rate.
