Hi all
My in-laws have a 2 story house, which has just two bedrooms and a pretty big closet, on the 2nd floor, in which they would like to turn into a small bathroom, sink and toilet. Here's the fun part. they have a kitchen, main bath (toilet, sink, bathtub) on the main floor which is vented to a 1 1/2" steel, i believe galvanized pipe, that goes through the side of the house about a foot or so above the ground and up the side of the house. There is no traditional 3" or 4" main stack going to the roof and out. Will i have to run a pipe through the roof for the vent for this washroom or is there another way?

by looking at that i would presume that you can use a cheater vent to vent both toilet and sink?
