need water control valve information

hello, i have a 42" fan that i put a mister in front of, so now it blows mist with the air, i got a thermostat for the fan, what i would like is to put an electric water conrol valve between the thermostat and the 120 volts....

im aware of the lawn sptinkler valves but they usually run off a timer, i need for one to just come on through my existing power source when power is supplied....

please tell me what im looking for

It's called a solonoid valve. They are usually run with 24 volts, but 115 volt solonoids are available.
