I've got a bathroom wideset faucet set that I need to get out so I can replace it.
The mounting underneath the sink isn't a type I've seen. I'm attaching a picture and hope that someone can tell me how to remove it.

It looks like the gold U-shaped piece up by the underside of the counter might be a device to unscrew the mounting nut. Is this the case?

Do I need to remove the feed lines and the clip that is just below the white plastic outlet fitting? It would seem these have to come off to pull the valve assembly up and through the hole in the sink.

Any advice you have would be appreciated.

Thanks!

That was, I think, a "tighten from above" type of rig. American Standard? I don't remember...
The clips of course get pulled, then, loosen from above, which can be a pain if it is rusted out and impossible.

Looks like Pfister

pull the clips stainless clips.

The center spout connection is push-fit. Pull the gray ring down to release the spout fitting.
