Hi,
I installed my kitchen faucet a few years ago, poorly. It came apart the other day and for the life of me I can't figure out exactly how to re-assemble it. I don't remember the brand or model of the faucet and have no idea where the original instructions went.
The problem is that I have this metal piece that obviously holds the lines together but also acts as some sort of seat to screw the copper tube against. There's a threaded rod that goes into the faucet and a threaded outer sleeve that screws up against it. There's also a plastic ring with a flat side that buts against the bottom of the sink. However I can't figure out exactly how this metal piece fits into the equation - When I screw the copper sleeve up without the metal piece, the faucet loosens as soon as i try moving it from right to left.
I've uploaded a couple pictures here
