we need to find a drain flange assembly for our new clawfoot cast iron tub that does not need to be connected to a drain. our drain is set directly into the ground of our shower room floor - we just need a trim kit for the drain. also, i need to plug the overflow hole in the tub preferably with a solid type of trim, not a "daisy wheel" or cut-out type of trim. ... please help...

??? What ?? Are just going to dump it on the floor when you drain it and let the water find it's way to the shower drain??

Then just use the shoe and trim from a waste and overflow kit.
Put some duct tape over the overflow and fill 'er up.

I believe what he is saying is that the tub will sit in an existing shower pan and will drain into that (messy?)(need some type of deflector?).

He will still need the overflow tube (vent?) and a place to hang the chain and stopper wouldn't he?

That's what I thought he was saying as well.
So if he just installed the waste and overflow like Frodo suggested,
Let it flow! Let it flow!
