I’m getting ready to tile my shower. The hot mop guy is coming Monday, after that I need to put down a Mortar mix for my pre-slop. Do I use any type of mortar that you would use for Bricks or a type I saw a guy using on you tube? It was called Type “S”

You just can't use any mortar. The hot mopped will provide you their recommendations. I know this mix is virtually a dry pack type, and not your usual mud.
