Moen 1222 cartridge

Howdy, I replaced my moen 1222 cartridge and now only have a trickle coming out of the faucet. It goes in perfectly and fits good but no pressure. I took it out and blew water thru the H&C sides with no problem, full pressure.
I was thinking it was a defective cartridge so I bought a 2nd, and the same problem.
What in the world am I doing wrong?
Cartridge matches the original.

Problem solved, ever feel like an idiot, I'm just gonna go with the feeling

When I turned the cold water on and when it only trickled I turned it off and de the same with the hot.
I wasn't thinking gotta have both valves on.
Posi-temp.

i think a moen positemp cartridge is a 1225 if i remember correctly. 1222 is none posi-temp

It has Posi-Temp right next to the 1222 on the package.

Opposite of this. Journeyman too many Moen repairs the numbers are all running together for you...

1225 is old standard plastic non-pressure balanced.

i did say if i remember right. and just so ya know for the future moen cartridges have a life time warranty. if it goes bad you can get a new one for free
