We are able to have a well and I was wondering what a good, if possible inexpensive, product would be to put on that would meter the water being used?

It currently has pressure gauges on it however to look for leaks I want there be some sort of gauge that can show me activity of volume flowing through the pipe.

You can get one of these at some of the better hardware stores, but they will not allow for much flow.

How much water are you going to flowing? 1 to 100gpm?

A good water meter can be had for a few hundred dollars, that can measure every drop that passes through it.

Yea talking about heavy flow, I want to put it right after the plumbing comes out of the well to detect any leaks in the line.

Any recommendations on what meter to go with?

What if it's a very slight leak though?

Also a drop in pressure assessed from where? A gauge at the well head, then another gauge, where?

The pressure is the same in the entire system unless your using large amounts of water and friction loss causes differences in pressures.

Your really going into overkill mode here.
