Recently the water level in my toilet bowl (not tank...bowl) seems to have dropped. When flushed the water level initially seems to be at the level it should be and always has been. Recently the level in the bowl has started dropping about an inch after about an hour and then maintains that level.
1) I thought the level in the toilet bowl depended on the trap designed into the toilet base and that hasn't changed for sure.
2)Where would the water be going? The toilet seems to still be bolted firmly to the flange and there's no indication of the area around the base of the being wet at all and the area of the crawl space doesn't show any leakage that I can see.
I'm a little bit stumped on this one and would appreciate some advice.
Thanks,

Does it flush okay. a stoppage in the outlet side of the bowl can cause the water to siphon out of the bowl.
If I was doing a service call on this I would run a toilet auger through it.
Check the weir with a mirror.
Then pull it if not satisfied.
