Hi, my kitchen faucet is built into the wall with no taps under the sink.
Before I start making holes down there (see second pic) is it likely there will be taps behind the under sink wall?
The house was built in 1940, location Los Angeles
Thanks!

Yeah, sorry. I mean the hot and cold on/off valves where I can attach a water filter to the cold line.
I'm from England, new to plumbing and still find it hard to use the right terms for things in the USofA

No, unless someone has done custom work, there will be no unions or taps located behind the wall. I am assuming that is galvanized pipe? Not to say it can't be done, but with all the work involved, I myself would use the filter attachment that connects to the end of your spout. I know Brita makes a good one that would solve your problem.

Ok, thanks for the fast reply.
We have the Brita spout filter. My wife isn't keen on it but I think we'll have to stick with it for now.
This can wait until we eventually change the kitchen.
As for galvanized pipe, I'm not sure but probably.
Cheers

That’s a beautiful putty job on the drain
