Hi All,
Sorry if this may sound like a dumb question to some, but i have no previous exeprince with plumbing...

My Kitchen sink is tap is leaking/dripping, and I wanted to change the washer on it, but when I removed the cap so that I can unscrew the screw to get the to the washer etc following these guides,
A Guide to Fixing a Leaking Tap « How-To Australia – A Guide to day to day Australian DIY
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1iGLiUCDqI]fix leaking tap - YouTube[/ame],

I noticed that my tap didn't have a screw and but there was like a falt spindle used... i tried to keep opeing the tabp handle to see if it would come off but it didn't and it was kinda of hard, but didn't try as i didn't want to break it if it wasn't meant to come off... I think its a very old tap, can someone advice how I can go about getting to the washer to be able to replace it?
:confused:
