I noticed a new part in a Fluidmaster that I recently purchased. I've verified it was not in earlier versions of the product. I wonder what its purpose is. It appears to force the incoming water to travel thru a circling channel before it reached the point beyond the part. Note, it can be removed easily by pulling it out with some needle-nose pliers; it is held in by friction fit alone. You can see it in the lower tubing of the Fluidmaster. At first I thought it was a manufacturing mistake, but as noted it appears to have some function to enhance the product.
