What I have:
Hot and cold water CPVC pipe going into a heated basement living room along an outside wall.
Plan:
Run pipes though studs, insulate with R13 between the CPVC and outer block wall and finishing with drywall.
Good Plan?
The 3/4" pipe above then needs to pass around an 8" thick supporting solid cement wall which would be an outside wall between garage and heated basement. The garage is unheated but this has been a cold winter in VA and I have been monitoring the temperature on the floor of the garage, nothing below 38 degrees so far but insulating the heated basement from the garage shortly.
Pipe will be in soffet with other pipes all in a fairly small area but unheated.
What is the best plan, heat, PEX, heat tape?
Thanks!
