My hot water heater is at one corner of my home and the kitchen and master bathroom are on the opposite corner of the home. It takes forever to get hot water to the kitchen and master bathroom... not to mention the wasted water. I'm planning to install a re-circulation pump and add a water return line. I've Can someone double check for me? Here's a link to I'm planning to install the system. http://www.billdavis.com/hotwaterrecirculation.html

Check this out. You don't have to add a 3rd line. just install this pump on the hot outlet on top of water heater. The block valve goes under the sink. it will connect the hot and cold system together. it will use the cold as a return. the block valve only lets the cold water return to the cold line. when the hot line gets warm at he block valve it stops the flow.

But what you propose will work, except install the check valve near the pump at the water heater.
It will be more serviceable there.

Hi David,

This device sounds perfect. I'll call the company that makes the Grundfos Comfort System as I have a few questions.
