Grohe Part Identification Help

I realize this may be a longshot, but wanted to see if anyone here might be able to help (since Grohe's techs weren't able to on the phone.)

An Allure faucet I purchased is missing a second coupling (terminology I'm sure is way off here...). The faucet is 20191A. I'm looking for the piece circled in green. The parts chart makes it look like it would be included in 48 045, but Grohe confirmed that that piece does not come if you order that part number. Any ideas?

If they still can’t help you, throw it in the garbage.
