I unsoldered a brass ball valve that would not fully close. I unscrewed the body exposing the ball by breaking the glue seal on the threads. I then reseated the teflon seal on one end and it seems to close properly. Would anyone use this again or should it just get recycled? If it is reasonable to use it again should I apply some type of thread sealant when I reassemble it?

Kudos for your effort. I do not think it is worth putting back in service unless you just have to test your mettle.
