So yea I did the build your own custom pedestal / pipe sink base thing but the waste line piping isn't lined up to sink drain, it's about a 1/2" out of center. Wouldn't be an issue if the sink faucet wasn't a wall mount bathroom sink faucet and I could scoot the sink base left or right to make the line up. Any clever ideas of how to make this connection without opening the wall up to relocate the waste line or sink faucet?

Thanks

cant really see the pipe coming out of the wall but cant you use a trap with a union on it to swing one way or the other???
Yea I just realized that.....thanks. I guess I just freaked because it doesn't line up the way I wanted....I'm OCD about things like that.

If you were going chrome pipe I don’t see a problem. You can get a freedom arm or just a regular 1 1/2 p trap assembly and tailpiece extension. Unless there’s an issue we cannot see?

Yes going chrome pipe I just forgot that I could swing the p trap a little although I didn't really want to as I'm OCD about things lining up.

Thanks!

I have another question. How do I connect the tail pipe extension to the sink drain?
Looks like I need another tail pipe extension (1-1/2") to match the sink drain but I'm not too sure about the connection nut assembly.

You need an 1 1/2 tailpiece for a sink with a 1 1/2 nut on top. you have an extension tube which goes on a tailpiece if it isnt long enough. The nuts in the p trap bag will fit on the sink drain threads but you need a flat top washer like you put on a dishwasher tailpiece.

is that a bar sink strainer????? what size are the threads????usually bar sink strainers are 1 1/2"

Don't know just the sink I purchased with the quartz top I had fabricated.

Ok so all I need is the 1-1/2 tailpiece for a sink with a 1-1/2 nut.....the P trap says it will fit a 1-1/2" or 1-1/4"....correct?

as the previous poster mentioned you would need whats called a flanged tail piece (same as a kitchen sink drain) with a poly washer made for a kitchen sink drain all 1 1/2"

if the drain at the wall is 1 1/4 you would have to change the strainer so its 1 1/4 get an 1 1/4 (scratch thread)tail piece then you can use your original trap
