While removing old toilet flange I cracked a portion of the elbow lip. Can I repair this versus having to cut out the whole elbow?

You’ll need to cut that tee out.

It’s really not proper to have that sanitary tee on its back like that. Too bad you can’t use a long sweep fitting.

It’ll work but it’s not ideal and it doesn’t meet code.

Have a good one ✌️

Yep, it needs to be cut out to be done correctly.

But that appears to be a 1/4 Bend, with Low Heel Inlet rather than a sanitary tee. If the 2" line can be raised 2 1/4", and if you can raise the top of the 3" hub connection to the toilet flange 1", you could fit a Long Sweep 1/4 Bend with High Heel Inlet there and fix the code issue.

Yes, it’s a low heel inlet, that’s exactly right, I skipped right on past that 🤣 Same difference to me as a tee but I’ll recognize that some codes could possibly allow it but typically not.

I only use fittings like that above the flood level rim. The radius is the same as a sanitary tee of the 3” waste.

All that aside, it needs to be cut out and replaced with what’s there if it’s existing and approved work.

Use the shielded couplings or the if you have some pipe play and are good with your hands, solvent weld it all.

But like MrEd says, if you have room you could put a long sweep there.
