I need to remove a valve after the pressure tank. What are the steps involved in doing this? There is no shut off valve before that point.

Turn off the pump and open a faucet to drop the pressure in the tank. Then remove the valve.

After replacing the valve, do we just turn the pump back on and turn off the faucet? Will the pressure tank be okay or do we have to do something to get the pressure back up at that time?
The pressure tank will be fine. You may get a few spurts of air from the faucets when you first turn them on but that is normal.
